unit 8 blog post
Of all of the practice sessions I would have to say meditation and visualiazation are my favorite. I really think that hey help me to get into the right mind state. They help me calm down a lot and help me to focus. I am going to try to use these techniques to reduce my stress and get myselp to a healthier state of being.

Unit 7 blog
I'm am not sure why I have had so many issues with the CD that came with the book. For some reason it only has three tracks. I'm not sure if it is just me with this problem or not. I find this stress that has been coming from these CD mishaps to be very counterproductive to my psychological well-being. I just keep getting more frustrated as the process goes along, because somehow I managed to get a terrible copy of the CD. Now that I am done venting, I guess it is important to state that I didn't get to do this exercise. So I guess I can't really tell you much about the process.
I think the saying that a person cannot lead someone else where they have not been means that I cannot help someone to reach their inner depths if I am stuck treading water on my surface. This applies to the health and wellness field, because I can't be a great role model for clients if I am just a tangled mess inside. They will eventually see this mess, and it could have bad effects on the relationship. So I think that it is important for a worker to continue developing their health in all areas of their lives, this way they can be a good influence on clients.

Unit 6 blog
I am still not getting super great at the meditation aspects of integral health, I am not good at shuting my other thoughts down and putting my full energy into the process. So I didn't really enjoy the universial loving-kindness exercise. I am slowly getting a little better at the process, and hopefully by the end of this term I will be able to report better news. When doing the integral assessment I enjoyed being able to look deeper into mysel to see what areas need fixed the most and where I could benefit to grow the most. I think that the areas I need to work on most is the personal line of develoment. I see that my personal relationships often suffer and I also feel that working on this line of development would benefit my family and community line as well.

The subtle mind
I found this process far more easy to do then the loving-kindness technique. I have often used breathing as a way to quite my mind, especially if I am angry, so this process can really easy to me. I like that it teaches you how to acknowledge a thought without focusing on it, this was a little hard at first, but once I got use to is I found t to be very good a relieving some of my stress. I didn't really find myself nearly as frustrated with this process as I had with the loving-kindness one, so I know I will certainly practice this technique again.
The connection between our spiritual wellness, and our physical, and mental wellness is quite obvious in our day to day lives. For example when I find myself frustrated or overly upset, I also tend to feel run down or I develop a headache. On that same note if I am sick, but something happens to make me relaxed or happy, I find that I will usually forget that I even felt bad earlier in the day.

Unit 4
When starting this experience, it felt odd to be focusing love inward. I am aware that we should love ourselves, one because it helps us to love others, and two because it helps others to love us, but it just seemed strange actually going through this process. After I got a little further in though I began to feel more at ease which allowed me to open my mind further, and get a better results from the experience. I had difficulty beginning this exercise, but I think that in time I will get better at it and will then be able to have a better experience. I'm not really sure if I would recommend this to others or not. It isn't exactly a conversation starter, but if I knew someone need help, then I would explain the process to them and see if it was something they were interested in.
